The hotel is set in a calm neighborhood just outside the city center. The rooms are very spacious, featuring a walk-in closet, separate bathroom, and pre-stocked water and tea. However, being in the basement meant missing out on expected views.
Staying in the compound was huge, and the room I had was tidy and clean with its own balcony overlooking the pool, which was great. The service felt like being in an old manor house, with the owners working on updates constantly. The location on the outskirts of Kandy town meant a quiet and peaceful stay despite some minor issues. The dining experience was good, offering fresh fruits, eggs cooked to order, and standard Sri Lankan dishes. The facilities were decent overall.
